Derivative Confirmations Manager
Location
Glasgow office
Job Purpose
Support business areas with day to day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution, while ensuring the end to end confirmations process across derivative products is accurate, timely, and fully compliant with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the end to end confirmations process for a range of derivative products.
- Develop and implement operational procedures and controls to mitigate risk and maintain efficiency.
- Prepare reports and presentations on operational performance for senior stakeholders.
- Identify and recommend improvements to operational processes, including integration with other teams.
- Conduct complex analysis of data from multiple internal and external sources to solve problems creatively.
- Communicate complex or sensitive information effectively to stakeholders.
- Lead a small specialist team, setting objectives, coaching employees, and driving performance.
- Maintain regulations and controls in line with FCA and PRA guidelines.
- Collate and present industry trends and best practices to enhance operational performance.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in derivative confirmations across asset classes.
- Prior managerial or leadership experience, ideally with a small team.
- Excellent understanding of regulatory frameworks and operational risk controls.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of key critical skills: risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology.
Regulatory & Certification
This role is regulated by the FCA and is a certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority – Individual Accountabilities Regulations. The role holder may be required to hold required regulatory qualifications and meet internal company benchmarks.
