Pupil Support Assistant – Wellbeing Hub – Fixed term until 18/12/2026
Broughton High School, North Edinburgh
Salary: £26,806 – £27,032 per annum. Hours: 30 per week, 39 weeks sessional.
We are recruiting a Pupil Support Assistant to support children and young people as they transition from primary school, build social and communication skills, and support positive destinations. You will be a positive, good team player committed to working with young people, especially those with additional support needs.
The role involves building relationships of trust with children and their families and working as part of the Wellbeing Hub led by a Curriculum Leader. You will support children with social, emotional, and behavioural needs to thrive in their mainstream school alongside a Pupil Support Officer.
Key responsibilities include supporting children’s wellbeing, facilitating group activities, promoting inclusive learning, maintaining health and safety protocols, and contributing to team meetings.
Legal: This is regulated work with children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Overseas Criminal Record Checks may be required for those who have lived abroad for three months or more in the last five years.
