Family Solicitor NQ-4 PQE
Location: Inverness Hybrid Working Available
A highly regarded legal team in the Highlands is looking to appoint a Family Solicitor (NQ-4 PQE) to join its expanding practice in Inverness. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a broad mix of family law matters, working closely with experienced colleagues while building your own profile within a supportive and forward thinking environment.
You’ll work with a diverse client base, handling everything from high value financial cases to sensitive family matters, with a real focus on providing practical, clear and empathetic advice.

The role
You’ll advise clients across a full spectrum of family law matters, including:
- Financial provision on separation and divorce
- Child related matters such as residence, contact and relocation
- More complex cases including cross border disputes, adoption and surrogacy
- Supporting cases through the Sheriff Court process
- Preparing case documentation, evidence and witness statements
- Attending client meetings and court hearings
- Contributing to client updates, legal insights and team initiatives
About you
This role would suit a Family Solicitor who:
- Has NQ-4 years’ PQE in family law
- Enjoys working directly with clients and providing practical guidance
- Is organised and able to manage competing deadlines
- Communicates clearly and professionally
- Works well as part of a close knit and collaborative team
- Is keen to continue developing technical knowledge and expertise
