The Role

Teacher of PE (Part time 0.5 FTE Maternity Cover)

Morrison’s Academy is a vibrant independent school committed to fostering academic and co cultural excellence. We are seeking a Teacher of PE to join our department and cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will inspire young people to achieve their best and nurture an enthusiasm for physical development.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and deliver Physical Education lessons for students up to and including NAT 5.
  • Develop and implement creative teaching strategies to engage pupils across the age range.
  • Assess and record pupil progress and provide timely feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate PE across the curriculum and support co curricular activity planning.
  • Maintain accurate student records and support school assessments.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree for the teaching of Physical Education up to and including NAT 5.
  • Registered with GTC Scotland or eligible for registration.
