Job Description

Interpath Advisory is a leading financial advisory firm that offers critical restructuring and advisory services to clients across various sectors. With a strong international presence, we pride ourselves on our expertise in navigating complex financial challenges and delivering tailored solutions for our clients.

This role presents the opportunity for a graduate to join Interpath’s Restructuring team and, with the opportunity to undertake formal accountancy training, to forge a career in restructuring and insolvency.

As a Graduate Associate in the Restructuring team, you will work in a dynamic, stimulating and busy environment, where in a client-facing role you will be involved with the statutory and technical aspects of insolvency processes and commercial matters, such as realising assets.

You will report to the managers responsible for the cases to which you are allocated, and you will be part of case teams collaborating closely with legal and other professionals to deliver optimal outcomes for clients and other stakeholders.

The role will be based in our Glasgow or Edinburgh office, though the nature of the work may require some multi-office and on site working across Scotland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working alongside Case Managers to provide support on corporate insolvency engagements.
  • Ownership of a portfolio of cases, with responsibility for statutory compliance, proactive case progression, and responding to case correspondence.
  • Working with clients and colleagues to identify, gather and safeguard assets, and thereafter assist with execution of asset realisation strategies.
  • Producing correspondence and other case work of a consistently high standard, including assisting with preparation of reports for creditors and other stakeholders.
  • Interacting closely with colleagues and third party agents and stakeholders (including directors, employees and creditors) to achieve case aims and objectives.
  • Participating in business development events.
  • Attending to any other administrative tasks required by the role.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Four Highers (or equivalent) – B grades or above, including Maths and English.
  • A minimum 2:1 university degree is required.
  • Previous experience or internships in financial or legal services is advantageous but not essential.
  • Keen interest in financial and commercial matters, and drive, enthusiasm, and commitment to learning and development – individually and as part of a team.
  • Good time management and organisational skills, and the ability to remain calm and focused whilst addressing competing priorities.
  • Ability to critically assess tasks and present solutions.
  • Outgoing personality traits and the ability to communicate confidently, articulately and effectively, even under challenging circumstances.
  • Ability to deliver a consistently high standard of written work; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is preferable but not essential.
