Multi Modal / Ocean & Air Coordinator
Location: Glasgow, Scotland
We are working with a global multimodal freight forwarding company, based in Glasgow. On behalf of our client, we are currently looking for an Ocean & Air Coordinator / Freight Forwarding Coordinator to join their Glasgow office.
This role would suit an experienced Ocean & Air Coordinator or Freight Forwarding Coordinator with hands-on exposure to air freight and ocean freight operations, looking to join a stable and reputable freight forward with a strong UK and international presence.
Role Overview:
The Ocean & Air Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating air freight and ocean freight import and export shipments from booking through to delivery. Working within a freight forwarding environment, you will liaise with carriers, overseas agents, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and compliant shipment movements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinateair freight and ocean freight import and export shipments
- Prepare, check, and process Freight Forwarding documentation
- Ensure compliance with customs, regulatory, and operational requirements
Experience & Skills
- Previous experience as an Ocean & Air Coordinator, Freight Forwarder, or Freight Forwarding Coordinator
- Knowledge of import/export documentation and customs procedures
- Strong organisational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Confident using MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Exceptional Customer Service with strong follow-up skills
Salary & Package
- Salary range: 28,000 – 35,000, dependent on experience
- Permanent role, Monday to Friday, office-based in Glasgow
