Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Class 2 driver to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent driving skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Operate flatbed lorries to transport goods to various locations in a timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) is essential.
- Experience with flatbed lorries is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
