VANL have an exciting opportunity for an Human Resources and Operations Team Support to join our team based in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire, combining home and office working with a minimum of 2 days per week in the VANL office . You will join us on a part-time, permanent basis. In return will receive a competitive salary.

The Human Resources and Operations Team Support will provide high-quality administrative support across a broad range of HR and operational functions. The HR and Operations Team Support will support the smooth running of day-to-day activities including recruitment, onboarding, data management, compliance, facilities, and general office/operations support.
What you ll be doing as our Human Resources and Operations Team Support?
- Assisting with recruitment and selection processes including drafting job adverts, arranging interview and liaising with candidates.
- Supporting onboarding and induction for new staff as well as offboarding of staff that are leaving VANL.
- Supporting the creation of Job Descriptions as needed
- Supporting facilities and office management tasks, such as ordering supplies, coordinating contractors, or managing room bookings.
- Assisting with supporting VANL s Connect NL database and other databases as needed
- Assisting in monitoring health and safety compliance and maintaining relevant records.
- Working collaboratively and communicate effectively with VANL and external colleagues.
- Participating effectively in programme and VANL planning, evaluation, learning and improvement processes.
- Engaging with and support CVS organisations in North Lanarkshire, both individually and collectively in a manner that encourages and enables partnerships, collaboration and growth
What are we looking for in our Human Resources and Operations Team Support?
- Specialist training/qualification and/or equivalent experience relevant to the role including HR, GDPR, Health and Safety, Operations, Risk Management, Salesforce Database Support, Data Analytics, ICT
- Demonstrable commitment to and understanding of the mission and values of VANL or willingness to development this understanding
- Sound understanding of UK employment legislation, policy creation, data protection (UK GDPR) and health and safety legislation
- Good verbal and written communication skills, including policy creation, Job Description creation, document template creation, and presentations.
- Pro-active with a willingness to develop new ideas and innovate
- Able to use Microsoft Packages including Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Word and Excel.
