NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide a range of services including acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health care to a population of over 1.15 million, extending to 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.
This position is Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week, with rotational hours from 08:00 to 16:00 and 09:00 to 17:00, and is office-based.
We are seeking an experienced Rota Administrator for the General Medicine Team at QEUH. The successful candidate will work closely with clinical and non-clinical management teams and medical staff, managing weekly medical rotas for FY1, Middle Tier, and Senior Doctors using various software. Responsibilities include collating data, generating reports, updating absence databases, supporting induction processes, booking locum doctors, and assisting with HR queries.
The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of administrative and secretarial practices, be capable of working independently, and possess experience in workload management and problem-solving. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, database management, and SharePoint is required. In-house training will be provided.
