Dunfermline, commutable from Edinburgh, Kirkcaldy, Rosyth, Cowdenbeath, Inverkeithing and Livingston

Are you a Quantity Surveyor with experience managing commercial contracts looking to join a well established company offering excellent earning potential, autonomy and long term career progression?

This company is a well established manufacturer and contractor with an excellent reputation across the construction sector. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to strengthen their Commercial team with an experienced Quantity Surveyor.

In this role you will take commercial ownership of contracts from mobilisation through to final account. You will be responsible for valuations, variations, cost forecasting, commercial reporting, contract negotiation and subcontractor procurement, while working closely with clients, operational teams and the Head of Commercial.

This role would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong commercial background looking for greater responsibility, autonomy and the opportunity to progress within a successful and growing business.

The Role:

• Commercial ownership of contracts from mobilisation through to final account
• Managing valuations, variations, forecasting and commercial reporting
• Contract negotiation and subcontractor procurement
• New Build, Social Housing and Commercial projects
• Regular client liaison and site visits across Scotland and Northern England
• Based from the Dunfermline Head Office

The Person:

• Quantity Surveying or related qualification preferred
• Experience managing commercial contracts within construction
• Strong experience with valuations, variations and commercial reporting
• Confident client facing communication and negotiation skills
• Commutable to Dunfermline
