Yard Operative – Livingston
13.00 per hour
Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 16:30
We’re looking for a reliable and hands-on Yard Operative to support our busy yard operations in Livingston. This is a full-time, weekday role offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Loading, unloading, and transporting materials around the yard
- Assisting customers on-site with excellent service
- Conducting regular checks on machinery and yard equipment
- Supporting the Yard Foreman with daily operations
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and safety
- Ensuring accurate stock control and documentation
- Using PPE and safety equipment correctly at all times
What We’re Looking For:
- A team player with a hands-on approach
- Previous experience in a customer-facing or yard-based role
- Someone who takes pride in maintaining a safe and tidy working environment
- Willingness to follow company procedures and health & safety guidelines
What You’ll Need:
- Safety boots, Hi-Vis vest, and gloves (minimum PPE)
- Certification to operate machinery (e.g. forklift) is a plus – but training can be provided
