JDR are recruiting a Workshop Technician on behalf our client based in Aberdeen. As Workshop Technician you will be responsible for assembling, testing and maintenance of company products.
The Role: Workshop Technician (Mechanical)
Location: Aberdeen
Contract: Permanent
Rate: £38,000 – £41,000 DOE
What you will be doing as Workshop Technician:
- Carry out assembly and where applicable test, of a wide range of equipment in accordance with engineering drawings and product specifications
- Assemble industrial machinery and other hydraulic/mechanical equipment and components
- Conduct quality inspections on products and parts, troubleshooting where applicable
- Prepare finished product for shipment
- Working collaboratively with wider workshop team and management
- Ensure QHSE systems are adhered to, reporting any issues where necessary
Experience/skills our client are looking for:
- Experience in similar mechanical/ hydraulic workshop based role
- Ability to operate hand tools
- Measuring and marking, cutting, grinding, drilling and tapping holes
- Driving licence advantageous
- “Can-do” attitude
