Job Description
Workshop Supervisor Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum + overtime
Hours: MondayFriday, 07:3016:30 (40 hours per week)
Location: Peterborough
We are looking for an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead a team of six skilled staff within our busy engineering and workshop environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills who enjoys being hands-on, while also interacting with clients and occasionally suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and motivate a team of six, ensuring productivity, quality, and efficiency.
- Oversee day-to-day workshop operations, including engineering and paint spraying functions.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients and liaise with suppliers when required.
- Ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards and within set deadlines.
- Manage resources, scheduling, and workload distribution effectively.
- Deliver daily activity briefings and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Maintain plant, equipment, and workshop facilities to high standards.
- Report regularly on progress to senior management.
Skills & Experience
- Strong leadership and people management experience.
- Excellent communication skills confident liaising with both team members and external stakeholders.
- Ability to balance process-driven operations with problem-solving and innovation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software.
- Technical or leadership qualifications are advantageous.
