Works Manager / Mentor – Scotland – £Attractive Salary

Job Description

A highly successful printing company is looking for a Works Manager with strong man management skills. The role is suitable for someone nearing retirement who wishes to work 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and support the existing production manager, ensuring consistency of print and finishing quality for every job.
• Identify skills shortages and implement effective procedures to maximise productivity.
• Take a proactive approach to maintain and improve production processes.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and developments that may impact the production workflow.
• Provide clear communication and guidance, helping the production manager to take ownership of decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong man management and mentoring experience.
• Good technical knowledge of digital printing and strong finishing experience.
• Experience in implementing ISO 9000 (highly desirable but not essential).
• Ability to explain complex technical details in an understandable way.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective production procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, approachable and open minded.
