Archer UK currently have an exciting opportunity for Wireline Trainee to register their interest in joining the team on the award of a large upcoming project.
The successful candidate will actively participate as a member of a Wireline crew under the supervision of the Wireline Supervisor.
You will be responsible for aligning all operations to our values by demonstrating that safety and performance is the highest priority.
This will be an adhoc offshore role, joining on a full-time, permanent basis. The role will also include workshop(Aberdeen) duties, including tool and PCE maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities include carrying out, under supervision, all Wireline and cable operations in a professional way, for optimal utilisation of equipment resources.
- Participate in preparation and execution of general Wireline work in accordance with approved procedures.
- Adhere to operating and safety routines.
- Carry out HSE reporting in accordance with Archer’s targets.
- Participate in preparation of equipment; make sure that all necessary equipment is in the right place at the right time. This will include workshop activities at multiple sites.
- Report all deviations arising during operations and report these to the Wireline Supervisor.
- Overlap and ensure experience transfer with the Wireline Operator on the opposite shift.
- Familiarise yourself with the Client’s regulations and procedures.
- Use your initiative to familiarise yourself with the handling of tools and equipment for operations to be always carried out professionally and safely.
- Responsible for cleaning and maintenance of equipment in order with current instructions and procedures for the Installation and the equipment supplier.
- Responsible to keep the work-container, the winch, and surroundings, clean and tidy.
- Participate in offshore activities as upgrading of equipment, maintenance and checking of equipment.
- Be Archer’s representative on board.
- Have good knowledge of operations manuals for and the contract content for the individual field.
- Report maintenance and any changing of drums or other changes to equipment in IFS.
- Carry out inspections and ensuring that the work is carried out, evaluated, and reported in accordance with own and Client’s governing systems and requirements and Authority regulations.
- Participate in specialist training as instructed by the Company and Client.
- Participate in relevant project work/meetings, courses, and any additional work in relation with this.
- Be well versed in the services we offer and promote these to the Client.
- Aid in development of process & procedure for Archer organisation.
- Participate in loadout process of equipment for specified jobs, if required by line manager.
Requirements:
- Technical degree, apprenticeship or qualification preferred.
- Previous mechanical related experience is preferred.
- Be able to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings or documentation.
- Participate in all required courses in accordance with course matrix and contract with the Client.
- Right to work in the UK is essential.
