Fabricator welder
Due to expansion and growth a Temp – permanent position has arisen for Workshop Fabricator Please note that the main base for this role will be Edinburgh (Tranent)
Working hours: Working hours are Nightshift 20:45 to 07:00 Monday to Thursday, 39 hours + Overtime on offer
Rate of Pay: £23 per hour + Overtime £33 per hour after 39 hours (CIS / Umbrella) Salary review after 13 weeks
Primary Objectives
Fabrication & some welding in a workshop setting – Possible site work in future.
Working knowledge of structural / secondary steelwork welding & fabrication is required.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Time served welder/fabricator. Must be conscientious in approach to welding and fabrication to ensure high standards and quality. Working knowledge of structural fabrication works and standards.
Act with honesty, integrity and accountability
Ability to work well in a team
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
An NC/HNC in welding/fabrication preferred but not essential at least 4 years experience in the above role.
Broad knowledge of welding and fabrication operation and procedures as required for the role and may include:
Manual Metal Arc (MMA)
Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG)
Metal Active/Metal Inert Gas (MAG/MIG)
Gas shielded Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)
Oxy-Acetylene cutting/welding
Machine/workshop power tools and machinery.
Experienced working with a variety of materials to include mild steel, austenitic stainless steel and aluminium.
