Job Description

A great opportunity for a Welder to join a thriving Engineering Contractor based in Aberdeen is now available. The main purpose of the role is to carry out welding activities in a safe and responsible manner at all times. You will be joining a company who are dedicated to providing a quality service to their clients, delivering projects on schedule and to a high standard.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out welding activities in the workshops and on customers sites.
  • Undertake basic fabrication for both Structure and Piping Fabrications.
  • Carry out welding processes to GTAW, SMAW, GMAW and FCAW in various positions.
  • Carry out welding to ISO, ASME and AWS standards.
  • Welding of structure fabrications (Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminium).
  • Welding of pipework fabrications (Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Duplex, Cunifer and Aluminium).
  • Maintain a safe and tidy working environment and always make appropriate use of PPE.
  • Always represent the company in a professional manner.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Minimum SVQ level 3 or equivalent or higher in relevant trade qualification.
  • Preferred (5) years practical experience working in an engineering environment.
  • Preferred (5) years practical experience of working with hand & power tools.
  • Preferred experience working on CDM worksites.
  • Preferred working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 45001.
  • Preferred Full clean driving licence.

  • Possess high level of focus.
  • Good organisational skills.
