Weighbridge OperatorLocation: InvernessHours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pmPay Rate: £14.12 per hourWe are currently recruiting for a reliable and detail-oriented Weighbridge Operator to provide short-term operational cover at a busy Waste Transfer Station.This is a desk-based operational role within an industrial environment and is ideally suited to candidates with strong IT skills, excellent numerical accuracy, and experience working within compliance-driven environments.Key Responsibilities
- Accurately weighing vehicles entering and leaving site
- Entering data precisely using dedicated weighbridge software
- Producing Waste Transfer Notes in line with current waste legislation
- Managing vehicle movements safely and efficiently
- Communicating effectively with drivers and site personnel
- Following all site health and safety procedures
- Ensuring all records and documentation are completed accurately to maintain statutory compliance
Candidate RequirementsApplicants must be able to demonstrate:
- Strong IT confidence and experience using computer-based systems
- Proven experience of accurate data entry
- Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- The ability to follow written procedures and legislative requirements without supervision
- Awareness of health & safety within an operational environment
Desirable ExperienceThe following experience would be advantageous:
- Previous weighbridge operation experience
- Experience within waste management, recycling, logistics, or industrial operations
- Familiarity with Waste Transfer Notes or regulated environmental documentation
Full training on the dedicated weighbridge software will be provided.Please note: this is not a general labouring role. Candidates who are not confident using IT systems or working within compliance-focused roles should not apply.
