Weekend Shift Manager – Shieldhall, Glasgow – Full-time, Permanent – End date to apply: 08th June – Shift pattern: 7am-7pm from Friday Sunday with handover on Monday.
About this Role
We are seeking a Weekend Shift Manager to lead all teams working weekends at Diageo’s Shieldhall Scottish packaging site. You’ll manage approximately 40 staff across Packaging Team Leaders, Equipment owners, Operators and Engineers, driving dedication, continuous improvement, and safety.
- Lead a team of approximately 40 people across multiple production lines.
- Create energy, motivation, and stretching plans to meet customer service levels.
- Implement the strategic plan for liquid packaging supporting growth agenda.
- Use Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
- Serve as a role model for safety leadership.
- Work predominantly weekends (Friday Sunday) with flexibility on weekdays.
- Act as a change agent fostering connection and successful implementation of plans.
Qualifications
- Inclusive leader with strong operational leadership experience.
- Experience leading other leaders or a consistent track record in a leadership or management position.
- Passionate about personal development and building strategic business knowledge.
- Open to predominantly weekend shift with flexibility to work weekdays.
- Knowledge and experience in continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing.
- Strong safety leadership focus.
