Warehouse Operative (Pertemps Reading) – Milton, £27,000-£28,000 per annum, full time. Working 07:00-17:00, you will join a clean, professional logistics site where careful handling takes priority over speed. Your duties include receiving goods, unloading deliveries, storing stock, and picking orders with precision. You will also process inventory movements using standard systems. This permanent role suits someone who values accuracy and safety, and who enjoys contributing within a supportive environment. Prior experience is beneficial but not essential; a methodical approach and reliability are key. You will receive full training and work consistent weekday hours.

What you’ll be doing as a Warehouse Operative:
- Receiving and processing incoming goods.
- Loading, unloading and storing materials safely.
- Picking and packing customer orders with a high level of accuracy.
- Processing stock movements using warehouse management systems.
- Supporting production and customer assembly lines.
- Preparing goods for dispatch.
- Carrying out specialist activities, including but not limited to decanting vessel sets using an overhead crane, cryofarm operations & magnet handling.
- Processing returnable packaging and warehouse returns.
- Delivering materials to local customer sites when required.
- Maintaining excellent standards of housekeeping, quality and health & safety.
Essential requirements for a successful Warehouse Operative:
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Experience using warehouse or inventory management systems.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team.
- Someone who values quality over rushing the job.
Desirable:
- Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
- Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) experience.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
