Warehouse Manager

A leading supplier within the distribution industry is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee operations at their busy Motherwell site. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and growing business that values quality, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
The Role:
As Warehouse Manager, you’ll take full ownership of day-to-day warehouse operations-ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate handling of goods from receipt to dispatch. You’ll lead a team of around 10 direct reports, maintain high levels of customer service, and implement processes that drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and stock control
- Manage and motivate the warehouse team to achieve KPIs
- Ensure health & safety compliance and fleet operations meet legal standards
- Drive continuous improvement across processes and customer service
- Provide regular reports and support budget control
- Plan rotas, conduct training, and appraise performance
- Liaise with other departments to support cross-functional success
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years in a similar warehouse leadership role
- Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures, safety standards, and inventory management
- Confident using warehouse systems and Microsoft Office
- Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Clean driving licence required (occasional travel to other sites)
Desirable (not essential):
- Experience with WMS/ERP systems (e.g. Kerridge)
- Logistics and transport planning knowledge
- Forklift licence (Counterbalance & Reach)
