What’s the Opportunity?
We are looking for a Warehouse Operations Lead / Coordinator to join our Distribution Centre in Livingston. This is a key leadership role within the warehouse and logistics operation.
The successful candidate will take hands on responsibility of leading a small warehouse team to deliver high standards across all warehouse functions including goods in, goods storage and despatch whilst ensuring best practice is followed across all processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Unloading storage and booking in & receipt of goods and booking into the computerised warehouse management systems.
- Leading a small team in ensure all goods are prepared, handled and dispatched in line with company procedures and operational standards.
- Oversee and carry out quality control inspections on incoming and outgoing goods and taking responsibility for initiating remedial action where required.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members including coaching and supporting to achieve high levels of performance.
- Oversee team breaks, absence, timekeeping and holiday requests.
- Proactively contribute to driving a Health and Safety culture within all warehouse areas.
- Support the team with warehouse handling activities, including the safe movement of furniture goods.
- Assist the Distribution Centre Manager in ensuring security, stock integrity, and operational control across the warehouse and yard.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organisation.
- Oversee basic equipment checks and maintenance, escalating issues when necessary to minimise disruption.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a Warehouse Lead, Team Leader or Supervisor role
- Confidence in using various computerised systems
- Ability to lead and motivate warehouse teams
- Strong communication skills
- Flexibility to support business needs including evenings and weekend
