My client is seeking an enthusiastic RVN to join its dynamic team on a full time basis, working 37 hours per week. This role offers the chance to immerse yourself in the day to day operations of our welcoming practice in the picturesque Scottish Borders. You’ll be at the forefront of delivering exceptional surgical and medical care to the veterinary team and their clients.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting nurse consultations, including weight management, dental care, and senior pet check ups, with regular campaigns to promote these well established nursing clinics.
  • Administering treatments and dispensing medications as directed by veterinary surgeons, taking blood samples, and running lab tests.
  • Ensuring a clean and organised working environment.
  • Taking and processing x rays for veterinary review, preparing surgical theatres and patients for operations, and monitoring patients during anaesthesia and recovery.
  • Performing Schedule 3 procedures, encouraged based on your experience and qualifications, with many of the RVNs regularly undertaking these tasks.
  • Occasionally handling reception duties.

This full time role includes an equal share in the Saturday and out of hours rotas, ensuring a balanced work life schedule.
