Vehicle Technician

Location: Livingston

Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday, 08:00-17:00 (30 mins unpaid lunch)

Salary: Competitive + bonus & benefits

Employment Type: Permanent

Job Overview:

Igloo is looking for a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our client s team in Livingston. You’ll handle a variety of mechanical and electrical repairs, ensuring all vehicles meet top safety and functionality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform approved repairs following job cards.
  • Remove and refit parts on various vehicle brands.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Conduct safety checks on newly arrived vehicles.
  • Ensure high-quality repairs and self-check your work.
  • Maintain a tidy and safe work environment.

Skills and Experience:

  • Good knowledge of multi-brand cars and vans.
  • Experience in mechanical and electrical fitting.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
  • Willingness to train as an MOT tester if not already qualified.
