We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Upholsterer with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in both modern and traditional upholstery techniques for our client.
What You ll Do
- Upholster high-end, custom furniture to the highest standards of craftsmanship
- Read and interpret upholstery specifications and technical drawings
- Use industrial sewing machines, staple guns, cutting tools, and other upholstery equipment safely and effectively
- Accurately measure, cut, and fit fabric and padding materials
- Perform frame preparation, webbing, springing, stuffing, and final covering
- Ensure all work meets quality and design standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety guidelines
What We re Looking For
- Minimum of 5 years professional upholstery experience
- Proficiency with sewing machines and other upholstery tools
- Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications
- Good physical fitness: ability to lift, carry, bend, and stand for long periods
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Strong technical knowledge of upholstery methods, materials, and equipment
