Job Description

Our client, a leading provider in the electrical/lighting industry, are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Sales as they go through a period of growth.

This role will be based from home and you could be based anywhere in the UK. You will be expected to travel when required and will manage a team of Regional Sales Managers remotely and also oversee company marketing initiatives.

Key duties will include:

  • Effectively managed a team of Regional Sales managers remotely.
  • Maximise profit and cash generation through effective planning, budgeting, and achieving revenue targets.
  • Proactively develop a robust sales pipeline through networking and strategic partnerships to drive year-on-year business growth.
  • Identify individual customer needs and collaborate with the marketing team to create bespoke campaigns with dedicated follow-up plans.
  • Tailor sales pitches to various customer segments and propose innovative ideas to maximise impact.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, including customers and employees, to ensure sustainable business growth.
  • Oversee the end-to-end sales process, from initial contact to onboarding and handover, ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Actively promote the company brand and establish yourself as the go-to person for new business in the festive lighting industry.
  • Conduct ongoing market and competitor research, including product and pricing strategies, and provide feedback and recommendations to the Managing Director
  • Utilise the most effective communication methods, including face-to-face meetings, video conferences, social media, and industry events.
  • Create monthly reports outlining financial and forecasting information, with clear tracking against KPIs and future commitments.

  • Demonstrated success in targeting and converting new business in a B2B sales role.
  • Experience of managing a sales team remotely .
  • Creative and entrepreneurial approach to targeting new business.
  • Strong need to succeed in highly competitive markets.
  • Ability to build mutually beneficial and profitable relationships.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with effective time management.
  • Strong planning and project management skills.
  • Ideally experience within the festive lighting or related industry but not essential

The successful candidate will receive a basic salary of up to 65k with an attractive bonus/commission scheme and company car!
