Transport Supervisor – Full Time 4on4off
Job Description
We are looking to recruit a full-time Transport Supervisor at our distribution centre in Cumbernauld.
Pay, working hours & benefits:
The hours of work for this role will be either day shifts from 6am to 6pm or night shifts from 6pm to 6am on a 4 on 4 off basis. However, we require some flexibility as the successful candidate will also be expected to cover sickness and holidays.
We offer a competitive salary of £32,000, which can be discussed or negotiated at the interview stage.

As a Transport Supervisor, you will:
- Monitor all delivery runs, ensure timely deliveries, and communicate with stores regarding delays
- Plan loads for upcoming days, ensuring efficient use of equipment
- Address performance issues and training needs
- Liaise with the depot team to meet operational requirements
- Provide progress updates and notify stores of time changes as needed
- Support and coach Transport Clerks
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to H&S procedures
- Ensure compliance with SOPs and maintain high customer service standards
You will need:
- A friendly, positive, and hardworking attitude
- Experience in a transport environment
- Knowledge of UK geography and road networks
- Experience using a WMS
- A proven track record in cost savings, productivity, quality control, and error reduction
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Good communication skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
- HGV Licence is desirable but not essential
