Job Description

Are you an experienced traffic marshall looking for a secure 6-month contract on a high-profile commercial development? We are seeking a safety-conscious individual to join a new project in Roslin.

Please note: this role will be working at reduced hours for the first 2 weeks.

The Role and Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the safe coordination of all vehicle movements on and off this busy commercial site.

  • Vehicle Banking: Safely directing HGVs, delivery vehicles, and plant machinery in a busy construction environment.
  • Gate Management: Controlling site access and egress, ensuring all visitors and deliveries are logged and directed correctly.
  • CLOCS Compliance: Assisting the site team in maintaining CLOCS (Construction Logistics and Community Safety) standards to protect vulnerable road users.
  • Public Protection: Ensuring a safe interface between site traffic and the local Roslin community/pedestrians.
  • Health & Safety: Promoting a “safety first” culture at the site gates and reporting any logistical issues to the Site Manager.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Certification: A valid Traffic Marshall / Vehicle Banksman ticket and a CSCS Card are mandatory.
  • Experience: Proven experience on commercial construction sites is preferred.
  • CLOCS Knowledge: A solid understanding of CLOCS standards is highly beneficial for this role.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the confidence to manage busy traffic flow.
  • Reliability: Ability to commit to the full 6-month duration and the initial reduced-hours period.
  • PPE: Must have your own full Personal Protective Equipment.
