Thermal Insulation Engineer
Location: Greater Glasgow
Contract: 6 Weeks
Start Date: Immediate
Shift: Night Shift – 20:00 to 06:00
The Role We are currently recruiting for experienced Thermal Insulation Operatives (TICA) to join our client’s team based in the Greater Glasgow area. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled operatives to secure immediate work on a 6 weeks contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and remove thermal insulation on pipes, tanks, boilers, ducting, and vessels
- Measure, cut, shape, and fit insulation materials and metal cladding
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Apply protective finishes including aluminium and stainless steel cladding
- Carry out maintenance, repairs, and replacement of insulation systems
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to site standards
- Maintain tools, equipment, and working areas
- Work effectively as part of a team on site
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures
Requirements
- Valid TICA Card (Level 3 or above)
- Proven experience as a Thermal Insulation Engineer
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of insulation materials and cladding systems
- Good understanding of site health & safety practices
- Strong teamworking and communication skills
- Flexibility to work overtime where required
Pay Rates
PAYE: £29.66 £3.72 per hour
Umbrella: £39.07 per hour
