Job Description
Brightwork are recruiting for Term Time School & Nursery Cleaners to work across Glasgow and the surrounding area.
Joining initially on a temporary basis, there will be a strong chance of permanency for the right workers.
Please note, that due to the regulated nature of these working environments, the successful candidates will be required to have a current PVG membership or be willing to apply for membership. Any PVG applications or updates would be payable by the successful candidate.
Your Time at Work
- Clean and maintain designated areas, including floors, bathrooms, kitchens, offices, and classrooms.
- Use cleaning tools and products safely and responsibly.
- Empty bins and manage waste following guidelines
- Refill cleaning supplies and alert supervisors when stock runs low.
- Ensure all equipment is stored safely after use.
- Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues.
- Follow schedules and complete tasks within allotted time.
- Work as part of a team or independently, depending on the location.
- Maintain good hygiene and cleanliness standards in line with guidelines
Our Perfect Worker
Experience within a cleaning role is beneficial but not necessary as full training will be provided. However, a recent Food Safety Level 2 certificate would be advantageous.
- Have excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- Have a friendly manner and be confident interacting with school/nursery children and staff
- Have a basic understanding of food and personal hygiene standards
