Job Description
This role is being advertised by Brightwork who are recruiting for our client site based in Dufftown and we require a temporary Sous Chef for 3 months (could be longer).
We are seeking an experienced Relief Sous Chef to support our kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented chef with a strong fine dining background to work within a small, dedicated team in a distinctive environment.
Your Time at Work
This role is 38 hours per week working on a rota of 5 days over 7 (so will include weekends on a rota basis).
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in the daily running of the kitchen.
- Maintain consistently high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.
- Assist with menu execution using fresh, high-quality ingredients.
- Lead and organise the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence.
- Work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ensure compliance with all health and food safety regulations.
About the Candidate
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef in high end fine dining restaurants.
- Strong technical skills and a passion for high quality, well presented dishes.
- Ability to work effectively within a small, close knit team.
- Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt quickly.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Key Information and Benefits
Pay rate of £19.26 per hour.
