Job Description

Temporary, Part time Sales Assistant – Maternity cover

We are seeking an enthusiastic Sales Assistant to cover a temporary, part time role for a maternity leave vacancy. The position is 15 hours per week at £12.88 per hour, with flexible shift work between Monday and Saturday. The role requires a friendly, customer focused attitude and the ability to work alongside volunteers and the Shop Manager to keep our store running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high visual merchandising standards throughout the shop.
  • Assist customers from entry to checkout.
  • Promote and explain the benefits of Gift Aid and other promotions.
  • Complete all company paperwork, including cashing up and banking procedures.
  • Support the training of volunteers and assist with stock sorting and preparation.
  • Travel to other shops within the cluster when required.
  • Support the Shop Manager with best practice and Health and Safety procedures.
  • Manage the shop and volunteers in the manager’s absence.
  • Ensure personal conduct reflects the company’s values.
