Whats the job?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Technology Delivery Manager to join our Technology and Operations directorate for a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
This is a key role supporting the successful delivery of technology projects across ICAS. Working closely with senior leaders, business stakeholders, internal teams and external suppliers, you will help translate business needs into clear requirements, delivery plans and practical technology solutions that create value for our customers, colleagues and stakeholders.
The role brings together product ownership, project delivery and business analysis. You will oversee a portfolio of technology-related projects, ensuring priorities, dependencies, risks and progress are visible and actively managed. You will also champion agile ways of working, helping teams adopt consistent delivery practices while taking a pragmatic approach to different project needs.
You will play an important role in supporting successful implementation, business readiness and benefits realisation, ensuring technology change is delivered in a structured, collaborative and outcome-focused way.
We are looking for someone who can bring structure, pace and clarity to technology delivery, while building strong relationships across technical and non-technical teams. You will have a proven track record in programme, product or technology delivery management, with experience of taking business priorities from early discovery and scoping through to delivery, implementation and measurable outcomes.
You will be comfortable working across multiple workstreams, shaping delivery plans, managing dependencies and ensuring stakeholders have the right information at the right time to make informed decisions.
Ideally, you will bring:
- Experience in a product management, project management, business analysis or technology delivery role.
- A strong understanding of agile delivery methods, including Scrum, Kanban or hybrid agile approaches.
- The ability to manage technology projects across the full delivery lifecycle, from discovery and requirements through to implementation and closure.
- Confidence translating complex business requirements into clear delivery artefacts for technical teams and suppliers, including user stories, acceptance criteria and delivery plans.
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, negotiation and communication skills.
- Experience managing risks, issues, dependencies, priorities and competing demands across multiple projects.
- The ability to coordinate internal resources, external suppliers and subject matter experts to support effective delivery.
- A collaborative, proactive and delivery-focused approach, with sound judgement and problem-solving skills.
- You will also bring the confidence to act as a bridge between business areas, internal technology teams and external suppliers, translating requirements into clear, practical delivery activity and keeping momentum when priorities or requirements change. Experience of delivery tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello, Microsoft Planner, Confluence or SharePoint would be helpful. Relevant qualifications in agile delivery, project management, product ownership or business analysis would also be advantageous.
- Just as importantly, you will be comfortable working confidently in a busy, changing environment. You will be organised, resilient and able to balance detail with the bigger picture, with the ability to prioritise effectively and keep delivery moving at pace. You will be curious, solutions-focused and confident asking the right questions to understand business needs, challenge constructively and identify practical ways forward. A collaborative working style, strong judgement and the ability to build trust with colleagues, senior stakeholders and suppliers will be key to success in this role.
What you get?
As well as ICAS being a great place to work, with great people and an open and accessible executive team, we also offer a competitive salary, and generous staff flex benefits package which includes:
