Job Description

Our client are a developer who specialise in high-end residential dwellings across central Scotland. Their technical division have a requirement for a technical manager to join the business, focussing on a strong pipeline of projects, due to an excellent land bank.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Programming & Planning:

– Develop and manage project timelines and schedules.

– Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

– Implement effective project management methodologies to streamline processes.

2. Flatted Developments:

– Oversee the technical aspects of flatted development projects.

– Ensure compliance with building regulations and standards.

– Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other consultants to achieve project goals.

3. Pre-construction:

– Lead pre-construction planning and coordination activities.

– Prepare and review technical documents, including feasibility studies and cost estimates.

– Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

4. Planning & Warrant Applications:

– Prepare and submit planning applications and building warrant applications.

– Liaise with local authorities and statutory bodies to obtain necessary approvals.

– Ensure all applications comply with relevant planning policies and regulations.

5. Managing Design Consultancies:

– Manage and coordinate with design consultancies throughout the project lifecycle.

– Review and approve design documents and drawings.

– Ensure design solutions are practical, cost-effective, and meet client requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

– Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.

– Proven experience in technical management, particularly in flatted developments.

– Strong knowledge of planning and building regulations in Scotland.

– Proficiency in project management software and tools.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

– Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

– Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
