Job Description
Corrie Recruitment is looking for a Technical Engineer for a permanent position in Inverness for a large, established Civil Engineering Contractor.
The role will involve providing centralised technical support to the Site teams and the duties will include, but may not be limited to, the following:
- Studying both tender and construction drawings to identify technical queries.
- Preparing and maintaining the RFI schedule across multiple contracts.
- Preparing material orders for non standard elements of the projects
- Looking for and implementing innovative construction methodologies.
- Preparing task specific method statements for the projects.
- Regular Site Visits to sites in and around Inverness and the Highlands.
- Liaising with Site Supervisors, Contract Manager, Technical Manager, HSEQ Manager, Buyer, and The Clients representative.
The ideal candidate will have:
- HND in Civil Engineering, SMSTS, or a related field.
- Proven experience in general Civil Engineering projects.
- Previous experience in Lifting operations and temporary works (not essential and training will be given to the successful candidate if required).
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Good planning and organisational skills.
There is no Setting out or Site Management involvement within the role.
