Support business areas with day to day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution while ensuring operational efficiency and risk mitigation.

Accountabilities

  • Support various business areas with day to day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
  • Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for operational processes.
  • Develop and implement operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Develop reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to senior stakeholders.
  • Identify industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Perform prescribed activities in a timely manner and to a high standard consistently driving continuous improvement.
  • Apply in depth technical knowledge and experience in the assigned area of expertise.

  • Guide and support professional development, allocate work requirements and coordinate team resources.
  • Escalate breaches of policies and procedures appropriately.
  • Embed new policies and procedures adopted due to risk mitigation.

  • Deliver work and responsibilities in line with relevant rules, regulation and codes of conduct.
  • Maintain continuous understanding of how the sub function integrates with the overall function and the organisation’s products, services and processes.

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of Tax Operations, including a clear understanding of operational tax processes and associated risks.
  • High level of attention to detail with the ability to organise and prioritise work effectively in a time sensitive, regulated environment.
  • Confident problem solving skills, applying technical experience and established guidance to identify and implement solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (formulas, lookups, pivot tables).
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks, work independently when needed, and contribute positively to team goals.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement, delivering work to a high standard within a fast paced environment.
  • Knowledge of risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology relevant to the role.
