About the role
Hourly rate: £13.72. Location: Peterhead. Contract type: zero hours and guarantee hours available. Mears Group provides housing and care services across the UK with a strong focus on supported living. We’re currently looking for SupportWorkers to join our team. There will be a mixture of full time, part time and weekend shifts. In this role, you will help people live independently by supporting them with daily tasks, personal care and social activities at home and in the community. A full UK driving licence is preferred due to the rural location.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver person centred care that promotes independence, dignity and wellbeing.
- Support with personal care, hygiene and medication.
- Assist with household tasks such as cooking, cleaning and shopping.
- Help individuals maintain daily routines and develop life skills.
- Accompany service users to appointments, clubs and community activities.
- Organise and participate in day trips and social outings.
- Support with hobbies and interests including arts and crafts, gardening and sports.
- Encourage engagement in social visits to restaurants, pubs and local events.
- Maintain accurate records and follow care plans and safeguarding procedures.
