Supervisory Assistant (PG) – fixed term until 29/06/2027

Gylemuir Primary School

Salary & Hours

Salary: £26,205 – £26,525 (pro rated for part time and sessional)

Hours: 14 per week, 38 weeks sessional

Working pattern: Monday – Thursday 10:00 am to 1:30 pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise pupils in the lunch hall and playground during working hours.
  • Support pastoral care and ensure a safe and positive environment.
  • Assist with classroom activities and support teachers as required.
  • Adhere to school policies, procedures, and the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.

Key Qualifications & Requirements

  • Completion of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme or a valid PVG check update.
  • Requirement to undergo an Overseas Criminal Record Check if spent three months or more abroad in the last five years.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with children and protected adults in a regulated environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
