About the Role
As a Team Leader within one of our Waitrose shops, you’ll help our difference be felt by our customers on every visit, providing the Partner-led service and passion for food that our competitors can’t match. Your drive to go the extra mile to help both customers and Partners will make all the difference to the impression our customers have about the Waitrose brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the shop’s management team with managerial tasks and collaborate with all other areas to meet customer demand.
- Ensure Partners operate in a safe and legal manner.
- Fulfil online customer orders ready for delivery.
- Stock replenishment – keep shelves full and products in the right place at the right time.
- Provide checkout support, manage Click & Collect orders, fulfil on demand orders and other tasks as needed.
- Help drive the shop’s commercial performance by proposing continuous improvement ideas.
- Reduce wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns for items reaching sell by dates.
- Maintain a safe and tidy working environment with general shop keeping tasks.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Good people and leadership skills.
- Strong understanding of retail and how to maximise commercial success.
- Experience in a customer facing role.
- Good stakeholder management skills when working with third parties and the wider Partnership.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Duty Manager Training (Internal Partners only).
Job Details
- Pay: £14.58 per hour.
- Contract Type: Permanent.
- Hours of Work: Varied hours (37.5 hrs per week) across seven days, including early starts, late finishes, evenings and weekends.
- Night Premium: £3.75 per hour for hours worked 22 00, applicable to existing Partners enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.
- Job Level: Partnership Level10.
- Location: Milngavie (Waitrose & Partners), Glasgow Road, Milngavie, Stirlingshire, G626JP.
