Job Description
Search Consultancy require an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driver to work for our client based in Bishopbriggs Glasgow. This position is on a temp to perm basis working full time hours.
Main duties will include:
– Operate forklifts to load and unload materials and products
– Transport materials to designated areas within the warehouse or production facility
– Stack and organise products and materials in an efficient and safe manner
– Perform routine maintenance on forklifts, such as inspecting for any damages or malfunctions
– Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
– Assist with inventory management by accurately recording materials and products moved
Qualifications:
– Valid forklift operator certification or license
– Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or production
– Strong knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines for forklift operation
– Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, safety rules, and operating instructions
– Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness to manoeuvre the forklift in tight spaces
– Physical stamina to withstand long periods of sitting, standing, and operating the forklift
– Attention to detail to accurately record inventory information
– Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
