Overview
An outstanding individual is sought to fulfil the role of Deputy Head of School in Intensive Care Medicine working across the South West.
Contract and Working Arrangements
- Secondment arrangement from host institution to NHS England – 1 PA per week (4 hours), worked flexibly.
- Contract until 31 March 2027 in first instance.
- All work undertaken incorporated into Consultant Job Plan.
- Colleagues with contractual office base expected to spend at least 40% of time working in person.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Head of School and support the Postgraduate Dean in leading delivery of a wide range of functions aligned to the NHS England mandate.
- Focus on improvement of learner supervision, assessment and experience, engagement of faculty, and ensuring effective educational outcomes now and in future.
- Collaborate with the multi professional team to contribute to educational strategy and quality.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experienced clinician with thorough understanding of education and training across the region.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multi professional team.
