Job Description
NHS Borders is looking to recruit a motivated and experienced Specialist Nurse to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse with a background in ophthalmology to further develop advanced clinical skills.
Overview
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering and developing nurse led services, including glaucoma clinics, optical coherence tomography (OCT) clinics and participation in intravitreal therapy (IVT) clinics. This role offers a unique opportunity to enhance your scope of practice while contributing to innovative models of care and service improvement.
Responsibilities
- Deliver nurse led glaucoma, OCT and IVT clinics.
- Develop and improve clinical services and care models within ophthalmology.
- Collaborate with a small, highly motivated team to provide safe, effective, patient centred care.
Qualifications
- Experienced registered nurse with a background in ophthalmology.
- Proactive, enthusiastic and patient focused with excellent clinical and communication skills.
- Committed to delivering safe, effective care and contributing to ongoing service development and transformation.
