About the Role

You will join the Skye House CAMHS team as a compassionate and motivated Registered Mental Health Nurse, contributing to high quality, evidence based inpatient care for young people aged 12-17 experiencing acute mental health difficulties. The role involves providing leadership, clinical expertise, and trauma informed decision making within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.

Duration, Location and Working Pattern

Full time, Fixed term 12 month

Base location: Stobhill Hospital, Skye House

Shift pattern: to be confirmed

Key responsibilities

  • Delivering evidence based care to children and young people with a range of mental health and neurodiverse needs.
  • Providing clinical leadership and supporting the nursing team to meet professional and family centred care standards.
  • Monitoring care delivery to ensure safe, high quality interventions.
  • Coordinating workforce resources to maintain effective service provision.
  • Making trauma informed decisions that support young people and their families.
  • Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic assessment and treatment.

Qualifications and experience

  • Strong clinical expertise in child and adolescent mental health.
  • Skills in trauma informed care and decision making.
  • Experience in workforce coordination and monitoring care standards.
  • Understanding of neurodiverse presentations and acute mental health difficulties.
  • Commitment to professional development and reflective practice.
