The Opportunity
An established Scottish contractor is seeking a hands-on Small Works / Building Manager to oversee a varied portfolio of smaller building projects, refurbishments and alterations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple small works, refurbishment and general building contracts
- Coordinate labour, subcontractors, plant and materials
- Monitor programmes, budgets, quality and safety
- Liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors
- Support estimating, quotations and tender submissions
- Control variations, costs and project profitability
- Develop repeat business and positive client relationships
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in small works, refurbishment or general building
- Practical knowledge across building trades
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects and subcontractors
- Good estimating, budgeting and organisational skills
- SMSTS or SSSTS desirable
- Relevant qualification or equivalent
