Site Supervisor/360 Grab Operator (196jc) Motherwell – £32,500
This leading company in the recycling sector are now seeking to recruit a Site Supervisor to lead it team at their leading edge operation in Motherwell. Ideally you will also have plant equipment experience and/or 360 Grab Operator experience as well.
DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.
You will be reporting to the site manager and have a team of about 6 personnel reporting to you and your role and responsibilities will include:
- Lead by example and proactively drive a Safety First Culture in line with Company SHEQ policies
- Create a safe and compliant working environment for all team members
- Monitor and continuously improve daily site operations
- Ensure compliance with waste management licences, consents, and all statutory requirements.
- Develop a process-focused culture with strong problem-solving at all levels
- Build a high-performing, motivated workforce through staff engagement, PDRs, and succession planning
- Oversee plant maintenance, inspections, and critical spares management
- Drive employee training and ensure all competency requirements are met
- Serve as a key link between the site and senior management as well as drive company KPIs
To be eligible for this role you will need the following experience and qualifications
- Wheeled material handler/360 Grab experience is essential
- Experience within the waste management and processing sector is advantageous
- IOSH Managing Safely qualification is advantageous
- Experience in a supervisor role is advantageous
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities
- Hands-on experience with plant and equipment operations
