Job Description

Job title: Site Engineer

Location: Netherton – Accomodation is provided if relocating

Contract length: 6 months

Work Hours: 50 hours per week, 10 hours per day. Monday-Friday.

Role overview:

The project involves significant heavy civil engineering such as earthworks, drainage and roads.Randstad Sourceright, a major provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services, is seeking a Site Engineer to control, implement, monitor, and report on site works.

This role is on behalf of a leading Asset & Technology Solutions services company and involves substantial heavy civil engineering, specifically concerning earthworks, drainage, and roads.

Health, Safety & Environmental

  • Knowledgeable in environmental awareness.

  • Competent in understanding and utilizing the Permit to Work System.

Engineering Control

  • Proficient in setting out techniques, including the use of survey equipment.

  • Able to report any issues related to control or provided information.

Quality Assurance

  • A strong understanding of construction tolerances.

  • Able to read and interpret drawings and schedules.

  • Understands Activity Control Plans and how to generate the necessary information for the handover file.

  • Aware of and utilizes Specification and other Contract documents.

  • Can produce detailed documentation required for the handover of completed works.

Productivity & Commercial Awareness

  • Capable of accurately taking off and scheduling material quantities.

  • Possesses knowledge of specification and contract documents.

  • Understands what defines ‘additional works’.

Desirables

  • Leadership skills developing

  • Targeting and actively progressing professional accreditation (eg ICE, IHT)

  • EUSR Cat 1 & 2 Training
