Job Title: Site Engineer (x2)
Location: Netherton Hub, Peterhead (Approx. 50 minutes north of Aberdeen)
Contract Type: Freelance Contract
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Duration: 3-6 Months
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Rate
- 400- 450 per day (dependent on experience)
- Additional accommodation allowance if required
Working Hours
- 50 hours per week
- Monday – Friday
- 08:00 AM – 05:30 PM
Project Overview
The Netherton Project is a major civil engineering scheme involving significant infrastructure works, including large-scale earthworks, road construction, and drainage.
Due to the nature of the works, candidates with experience on major infrastructure or highways projects are highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out and monitoring earthworks operations
- Carrying out and recording as-built surveys
- Maintaining site records and daily diaries
- Updating and managing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
- Coordinating activities across the site team and subcontractors
- Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with project specifications and quality standards
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Minimum HNC in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Proven experience working as a Site Engineer on civil engineering projects
- Experience in earthworks, drainage, and road construction
- Strong site documentation and record-keeping skills
- Experience producing as-built surveys
Desirable
- Background in major infrastructure or highways projects (e.g. HS2 or similar major infrastructure works)
- EUSR CAT 1 and CAT 2 training preferred for managing site permit systems
