Site Agent Scottish Borders (Freelance)
Boyd Recruitment is seeking an experienced Site Agent to join a freelance project across the Scottish Borders. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a civil engineering project while leading a skilled site team.
The Role
As Site Agent, you will:

Lead and manage the site team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery

Allocate resources effectively and ensure each team member has the right skills and support

Identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions

Monitor and analyse fully resourced programmes to meet project targets

Manage subcontractors and build strong collaborative relationships

Produce operational target programmes aligned with the overall construction programme

Ensure all works meet quality standards and maintain rigorous QA control
-
Uphold health & safety standards across the site

Communicate effectively and maintain excellent organisation throughout the project
Requirements

HND or BSc in Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience
-
Proven experience on water or heavy civils projects
-
Strong leadership, planning, and stakeholder management skills
-
Ability to mentor junior team members and drive high-performance delivery
This is a freelance assignment based in the Scottish Borders, with an immediate start.
