Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Site Agent to join a well-established civil engineering contractor on a long-term roads and infrastructure package across Ayrshire.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure stable, long-term work on a long term programme delivering highways, drainage, earthworks and associated civil engineering works within the region.
The Role
As Site Agent, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget. You will be a key link between the site team, subcontractors, and senior management.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate site activities on roads and civil engineering projects

Ensure all works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications and programme

Maintain high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance

Oversee subcontractors, labour and plant resources

Assist with short-term planning, RAMS, permits and site documentation

Liaise with clients, local authorities and stakeholders

Monitor progress and report regularly to the Project Manager
About You
-
Proven experience as a Site Agent on roads and civil engineering projects

Strong background in highways, drainage, earthworks or public realm works

SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold) and First Aid (preferred)

Sound knowledge of NEC contracts (advantageous)

Excellent leadership and communication skills

Ability to drive programmes forward and solve problems on site
