Job Description
First Achieve’s Engineering Division are seeking a Shot Blaster for their client who is a leading manufacturer of agricultural equipment.
As a blaster, you will be required to work inside a blast room blasting metal parts ranging from small parts to large fabrications.
Dayshift Role, 13/hr.
Duties include:
- Working to specific production deadlines/schedules.
- Picking kits of parts from a check list.
- Loading and unloading items that require blasting.
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
- Maintaining own equipment, loading blaster, check and change filters as necessary, nozzles, dust extraction unit etc.
- Ensuring all appropriate safety equipment is used and worn.
- Ensuring all company procedures are followed.
- Communicate effectively with all colleagues.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Previous or current experience sand blasting desirable but not essential. Training can or will be given as necessary.
- Valid forklift licence desirable.
- Knowledge of overhead crane desirable.
- Good communication skills.
- Can do attitude.
